Matching Gifts
Does your company offer to match donations that you make? This is an easy way to double your donation to Alliance for Living. Please check with your human resources department to see if your company matches gifts, and let us know. Current list: Pfizer, Dominion.
In Memory of
Tribute gifts allow a donor to acknowledge someone that was lost from HIV/AIDS, the loss of a family member, or acquaintance affected by HIV/AIDS. Alliance for Living will send a letter on the donor’s behalf to the family members of the deceased.
Dining Out for Life
Turn your dinner party, picnic, or celebration into a special fundraising event. A member of FRIENDS of Alliance will present a 15 minute presentation about the services of Alliance for Living. Donations from your guests in any amount are appreciated.
In Honor of
If you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, why not request that gifts be given in your name to Alliance for Living. Both you and the donor will receive a letter of thanks from us.
Seasonal Drives
- Thanksgiving Food Drive
Each year AFL provides a Thanksgiving meal for members in need. Grocery store gift cards are helpful to cover the costs of items not available at the United Way Food Bank
- The Giving Tree
Each December, Alliance sets up “Giving Trees” in various locations. Each tree is decorated with the name, age, and gift wish of a child of an AFL member. If your workplace, business, or church would like to sponsor a Giving Tree, please contact us by October 31st.
